Dance Workouts for Non-Dancers

I have been dancing for pretty much my entire life.  I started taking lessons at 3 and continued through adulthood.  I have danced for sports teams, music artists, and professional companies. Needless to say, I love dancing.

Plus, dance has a ton of benefits. It includes stretching for increased flexibility, cardio, and body weight training. It can be a great all around exercise, plus it's fun.

You don't have to be a trained dancer to enjoy the benefits of dance. In fact there are tons of dance workout videos that you can access for free right from your home! How awesome is that! All of the benefits and none of the embarrassment. You can't lose.

Below are some of my favorite beginner dance workout videos from around the interwebs.  Definitely check them out!

For those of you who like Zumba, this is a fun and fresh Zumba routine.  You can add complexity based on your comfort level.

This next one is for all the wannabe hip hoppers. It's a fun upbeat hip hop routine that you can easily follow along with. Plus it's only 20 minutes.

If you would rather try your hand at some Latin moves, check out this video.  It's an awesome workout in just 30 minutes.

Lastly, because I just love Popsugar Fitness and Simone De La Rue, here is her cardio dance routine. She has such a fun energy, I always enjoy her workouts!

So are you itching to try a new dance workout? Try one of these and let me know what you think. The best workouts are the ones you enjoy and don't feel like work. So, check these out and just have fun!

Cheers,

Emily
